Outdoor Masonry Fireplace Construction

in the Blue Mountains

This outdoor masonry fireplace was built as part of a custom exterior living space in the Blue Mountains, starting from a fully structured concrete block core to ensure long-term durability and performance.

Every stage of the build was carefully planned, from layout and alignment to structural integrity, creating a clean foundation for the finished stonework and ensuring the fireplace integrates seamlessly into the surrounding patio.

The Design & Build

This project began with full site preparation and layout to establish the exact footprint and positioning of the fireplace within the outdoor space. From there, the structure was built using concrete block, forming a solid core designed to support the final masonry finish.

Each course of block was installed with precision, ensuring proper alignment, spacing, and consistency throughout the structure. This phase is critical, as it sets the standard for everything that follows and directly impacts the quality of the finished product.

The jobsite was maintained in a clean and organized manner throughout construction, allowing for efficient workflow and consistent execution from start to finish.
